Why it feels different
A space that is yours.
Sanctuary starts from a simple promise: the people here are women, and what you share stays in good hands.
Verified women
Every member is checked before she joins, so you know who is here.
Private by design
Sanctuary runs without ads or tracking across other apps. You can download or delete your data whenever you like.
Looked after
A person reviews anything that is reported, within 24 hours. You can block anyone at any time.
House rules
A calm space has a few rules.
Sanctuary is built on Islamic principles, and women of any faith are welcome if they follow the Community Guidelines.
Read them before you join, so you know what to expect.
- No sexual or explicit content
- No music in posts
- Kindness always
How it works
Three steps to your first post.
This is what happens after you install.

Take a quick check
A short live check on your phone confirms you are a real person. Prefer not to use the camera? Choose a short video call with a woman on our team.
Start sharing
Post your first photo or video, follow women you like, and explore by theme.
If your check needs a second look, a person on our team approves you, usually within 24 hours.
Community
Join our WhatsApp community.
A women-only group where you can hear about updates first, share feedback and meet other early members.
Open WhatsAppJoin the communityWhatsApp can show your name or phone number to other members, so join only if you are comfortable with that.
Questions
Good to know before you join.
Who can join?
Sanctuary is for women. Our Terms explain exactly who can join.
Do I have to be Muslim?
No. Sanctuary is built on Islamic principles, and women of any faith are welcome if they follow the Community Guidelines.
What is the quick check, and are my photos saved?
It is a short live check on your phone that confirms you are a real person. The photos are used for that moment only and are not saved. We keep the result. If you would rather not use the camera, a short video call with a woman on our team is the alternative.
How long until I am in?
If your check needs a second look, a person on our team approves you, usually within 24 hours.
Is my account private?
You can keep your account private and approve who follows you. Screenshots and screen recording are blocked inside the app. Another camera can still film a screen, so please share only what you are happy to share.
What are the house rules?
No sexual or explicit content, no music in posts, and kindness. The full Community Guidelines are on our website.
What if I see something that breaks the rules?
Report it from the post, comment or profile. A person reviews reports within 24 hours, and you can block anyone at any time.
Can I delete my account and my data?
Yes. In Settings you can download a copy of your data or delete your account and everything on it.
Is it free?
Sanctuary is free to use while it is in early testing.
How do I install it?
On iPhone you will first install Apple's TestFlight app, then open Sanctuary from the link. On Android you download the app file (about 160 MB, so use Wi-Fi), and your phone will ask you to allow installs from your browser. It may also show a warning because Sanctuary is not in the Play Store yet. Only install it from this page.
Something is not working. Who do I tell?
Write to thesukunlife@gmail.com. We read every message.
Be one of the first.
We are welcoming our first members now. After a couple of weeks, tell us one thing that felt good and one that felt confusing. It shapes what we build next.
